We would say that Westerns are very in right now, but they never really went away. The fact that fans are still excited for the final episodes of Yellowstone almost two years after the show was last aired is a testament to how strong a hold the genre can have on people. The next batch of the Paramount+ series was delayed by the 2023 Hollywood strikes, but here is what we know about when the Yellowstone season five part two release date will be.

The good news is that we probably won’t have to wait too much longer to see how the Yellowstone saga wraps up. Yellowstone season five part two will air in November 2024, two full years after the season first debuted on Paramount+. It has been reported that there will only be six episodes in this batch, which means that Yellowstone season five might finally come to an end before the end of 2024.

Unfortunately, we don’t have a more specific date than November 2024, but we should hear from the showrunners in the next few months about a more concrete release date. After the main series comes to an end, there are two more spin-offs in development. Yellowstone 1944 and Yellowstone 2024 have both been greenlit by Paramount, which means we won’t have to say goodbye to the Dutton family just yet. Plus Netflix subscribers have Ransom Canyon to look forward to as well.

Yellowstone season five part two is due out in November 2024 on Paramount+ though no specific release date has been officially confirmed for the final six episodes in the series.

1923 has confirmed a big change for its upcoming second season.

While the majority of the Yellowstone prequel show’s first season was filmed in the city of Butte, Montana (where the show is set), season two will reportedly be changing things up by filming at ATX Studios in Austin, Texas (via Austin Business Journal).

The chief executive of Butte-Silver Bow County, JP Gallagher, shared his reaction to the news while speaking to the Montana Standard, saying the decision to film the second season in Texas was “disappointing”.

He continued: “Nevertheless, we respect the production team’s decision and acknowledge that these choices are influenced by factors beyond our control.

“We were in talks with the production about 1923 coming back to Butte because of the positive experience they had here, but state tax incentive programs were a major factor for the production to move to Texas.”

The first season of 1923 debuted on Paramount+ back in 2022, following Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren’s characters Jacob and Cara Dutton as they dealt with a series of pandemics, drought and the end of Prohibition in 1920s Montana.

Paramount+ confirmed in February 2023 that the Dutton origin story would be getting a second season, though last year’s Hollywood strikes delayed production.

During an interview with Fox News in January, actor Brandon Sklenar confirmed that filming would kick off again soon. He added that he was excited to work with Ford and Mirren this time around, given his character Spencer didn’t share any screen time with them in season one.

“I haven’t gotten to act with them yet. I will in the last eight episodes that we’re about to start…It’s happening, and I’m stoked, I’m excited,” he said.

Meanwhile, Yellowstone season five, part two is set to air on Paramount+ this November, wrapping up the flagship show after six years.

1923 and Yellowstone both air on Paramount+.
