Fans are concerned for Mama June Shannon’s teeth after her veneers appeared to be “rotten” in a recent TikTok.
The 44-year-old “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” reality TV star showed off her chompers while documenting her trying different restaurants in Covington, Georgia, on TikTok.
Her white teeth got progressively more stained as she enjoyed ice cream with sprinkles, gelatos, macaroons, and a pizza shop.
“Here on the Coving Square, we’re going to show you what they’re all about,” she told the camera, putting her questionable mouth on full display.
“We literally have shown support to small businesses here on the Square. And they don’t even realize who I am, which is amazing,” Shannon added.
Her seemingly decaying teeth are a far cry from the $40,000 smile makeover she received in 2020 when she got veneers after her natural teeth were destroyed due to her crack cocaine drug addiction.
Fans took to Reddit to discuss the “Mama June: From Not To Hot” star’s shocking smile.
“Veneers do not rot, the remains tooth structure under the veneers does due to terrible hygiene,” on person wrote.
“They certainly can if you don’t care for them. Veneers are not a sure bet to never have cavities again,” another argued.
A third person feared Shannon may be using drugs again, alleging, “More likely she’s smoking something like meth or crack. They look somewhat white just rotten and grey like using does.”
“This is the answer,” someone responded to the accusation. “My son is an addict. He smokes drugs and his teeth have the exact same issues. It doesn’t take long either. His teeth got ruined in less than a year of drug use.”
In December, Shannon addressed rumors of her alleged drug use, telling TMZ, “I have been straight sober since Jan 27, 2020. I don’t do drugs, I don’t smoke cigarettes and I don’t even drink.”
Therefore, other Reddit users blamed Shannon’s discolored teeth on the food she was eating.
“Not sure why I’m getting downvoted when she’s literally eating chocolate ice cream,” one person defended her.
“Looks like food coloring from all those sprinkles she was eating with that ice cream,” another wrote.
“Exactly… She has veneers. This isn’t drugs. Some ppl are so dumb,” someone else responded.
Shannon’s eldest daughter, Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell, died in December following a months-long battle with Stage 4 adrenal carcinoma. She was 29.
She was since granted temporary custody of her 11-year-old granddaughter, Kaitlyn, who also enjoyed some ice cream in the Georgia TikTok.
