Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) has been really struggling in the aftermath of Keanu Taylor’s (Danny Walters) murder in EastEnders.
Linda stabbed Keanu to death on Christmas Day in 2023, in defence of best friend Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean).
However, things are set to get even worse in upcoming scenes when she is accosted by Dean Wicks’ (Matt Di Angelo) contact Fraser in the Vic, who offers her a deal.
‘Linda will go through many different scenarios in her head,’ actress Kellie Bright explained.
‘I mean, obviously she doesn’t trust Dean, so initially she won’t even entertain it. She is reluctant to give him anything but at the same time, what he is offering is a massive thing for Linda, so she wants to believe it’s true.’
Though Linda is tempted to take the deal, Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff) desperately tries to talk her out of it.
Linda’s week doesn’t get any better when she receives a blackmail letter, and turns to Johnny to try and figure out who sent it.
‘I think she thinks “oh my god, this is it; someone has found me out; my life is over”,’ Kellie said, explaining that Linda feels ‘sick’ when she comes across the letter.
When she later arrives home to a second letter, Linda loses it and causes a scene when she begins to accuse people in the Queen Vic of being the sender, though Kellie admits that Linda hasn’t got a clue who is really behind it.
‘There’s suspicion that it could be to do with Dean, but he’s in prison so that quickly almost refutes her thinking.’
While Johnny takes Linda up to bed, the actual culprit is paying Dean a visit…
But who is it?
